Leon Springs Wrought Iron Fence & Automatic Double Gates
Duncan’s Services completed this 250-foot fence and automatic gate project in Leon Springs in March 2025. The installation combined approximately 40 feet of wood privacy fencing with 210 feet of wrought iron fencing, all 6 feet tall, plus double vehicle gates and one pedestrian gate. The double gates use LiftMaster LA400 operators.
The project took about two weeks. This was a new installation with no old fence to remove. Heavy rock and limestone made the post holes the main challenge, so our crew rented heavy equipment for the excavation.

Combining privacy fencing with wrought iron
The 40-foot wood privacy section provides a solid visual screen, while the wrought iron sections keep views open through the fence. Both fence styles were built to a 6-foot height. The project brought the perimeter fencing, vehicle entrance and pedestrian access together in one installation.
Automatic double gates and pedestrian access
The arched double vehicle gates match the black wrought iron fence. Circular details run along the top of the gate leaves, and the open pickets preserve views toward the driveway and garage. LiftMaster LA400 operators automate the vehicle entrance. The project photos show the solar panel, and the video below demonstrates the gates operating with a handheld remote.
One pedestrian gate provides a separate walking entrance through the fence.
Digging post holes through rock and limestone
Heavy rock and limestone required more than routine post-hole digging on this Leon Springs property. Our crew rented heavy equipment to make the holes needed for the new fence installation. The overall project was completed in about two weeks.
