Gate Operator Replacement in San Antonio, TX
A gate that will not open, stops unexpectedly, or needs repeated repairs deserves a careful diagnosis. Duncan’s Services inspects the operator, controls, power supply, safety devices, and gate hardware before recommending repair or replacement.
We work with LiftMaster, USAutomatic, Apollo, All-O-Matic, Eagle, and Ramset gate operators for swing and sliding gates in San Antonio and the Hill Country.

Repair or Replace Your Gate Operator?
Not every gate problem means the motor needs replacing. A control issue, power problem, worn hardware, or misaligned safety device may be the cause. We explain what we find and the available options.
Replacement may make sense when an operator is aging, unreliable, difficult to service, or unsuitable for the gate’s size and use. We check the condition of the gate itself so a new operator is not asked to overcome damaged or binding hardware.
Swing and Sliding Gate Operator Replacement
Swing gates: operator selection considers gate dimensions, weight, mounting conditions, and daily use.
Sliding gates: we assess the gate’s travel, supporting hardware, operator location, and access needs.
Controls and accessories: we verify compatibility with remotes, keypads, exit sensors, and other equipment before recommending what can be retained.
Power options: electric and solar-powered options depend on the selected equipment and site conditions.
Gate Operator Brands We Work With
LiftMaster • USAutomatic • Apollo • All-O-Matic • Eagle • Ramset
The right replacement depends on your gate and property—not just the brand on the existing unit. Send us a photo of the operator label and tell us how the gate is behaving to help start the conversation.

Gate Operator Replacement FAQs
How much does replacement cost?
Pricing depends on the operator, gate condition, mounting and power requirements, accessories, and work needed at the property. Photos help us begin an estimate; a site assessment may be needed to confirm the scope.
Can I keep my existing gate?
Often, yes, if the gate and supporting hardware are in suitable condition. We assess the gate before recommending a replacement operator.
Can I switch operator brands?
Possibly. We check the gate, mounting arrangement, power supply, safety equipment, and access controls to determine what a change would require.
Will my existing remotes and keypad still work?
Compatibility varies. We verify the equipment rather than assume that existing controls will work with a new operator.
Is a solar gate operator an option?
It may be, depending on sunlight, usage, gate requirements, and the selected system. We can discuss whether solar is a practical fit for your entrance.
